Penstemmon was in full bloom on Wednesday's hike. The creek was roaring by the trail much of the hike. The mountains had good snow pack this winter & the warm 80 degree days have filled the creeks & rivers to capacity with all the snow-melt. If you click on the picture below, you can enlarge it & see some of the Wild Hyacinth blossums.
The hiking pace of the Hallelujah Hikers has picked up over the three years, so we hiked past our previous turn-around points & past the sign announcing that we had entered the Selway Bitterroot Wilderness.
